1. Oumi

Tatler Asia

Sharing the same space as Australian restaurant Kaarla is Oumi, a farm-to-table dining concept serving up contemporary Japanese kappo fare. Helmed by chef Lamley Chua, diners can anticipate an array of delectable dishes curated with sustainably sourced ingredients. Opt for its nine-course dinner menu that begins with house-made Australian pumpkin tofu crowned with creamy sea urchin. It whets the palate for tantalising dishes to come—monaka wafer filled with rich foie gras ganache, salmon roe and pickled daikon; and tempura crepe. The latter sees a thin slice of gruyere cheese lightly battered and fried until golden brown and crispy. It’s topped with Australian scampi roe, avocado slices, Sakura ebi, and a tangy balsamic-teriyaki sauce. Book here.
