Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse

Given the abundance of steakhouses in Singapore, it is no wonder that a simple, perfectly executed slab of meat remains a perennial favourite among locals. Bistecca is a prime example, making walk-in seating nearly impossible unless one is prepared to secure a spot at an alfresco table. Inside, the dimly lit brick-and-wood interior successfully transports diners to a bisteccheria in Tuscany, Italy, complete with an open view of wood-fired flames licking the meats. The chargrilled steaks are rightfully the star attraction, ranging from the signature Fiorentina T-bone to the F1 wagyu from Australia’s King & Kiewa Valleys. While the beef is the star, do not skip the seafood offerings, such as the Freemantle octopus, which juxtaposes the taste of the ocean with the smokiness from the grill, as well as the squid ink pasta, enriched with langoustine and sea urchin butter sauce.
