Cover Clinton Street Baking Company

The beloved American breakfast eatery will be shutting its doors on August 30

For almost seven years, Clinton Street Baking Company has been many a gourmand’s go-to spot for brunch, especially pancakes. Unfortunately, the brunch stalwart has announced that it’s permanently closing its doors on August 30.

Thanking everyone on social media for all their “love and support” since it first opened its doors in 2015, the news still came as a shock to many fans who flocked to the restaurant (despite not being able to make reservations) for one final taste of its New York-style breakfast which include signatures like the classic chicken and waffles and, of course, the buttermilk pancakes. The pancakes have been a fan favourite since day one; thick and fluffy, these were topped with warm maple butter and a choice of banana, blueberries or chocolate.

Clinton Street Bakery will surely be missed. And, while you can still visit their original outpost in New York, as well as its restaurants in Dubai and Tokyo, you can satisfy your pancake cravings at these other dining spots on the island.
