It is the Australian cafe’s first international outpost

Known for its high standards in coffee, it’s no wonder that Australia has established itself as one of the world’s foremost destinations for speciality coffee—with Melbourne being the biggest coffee hub in the country. The coffee-crazed city pays homage to the classic coffee bean, constantly coming up with new and innovative coffee brewing styles, including cold-drip coffee and siphon.

That said, various Melbourne-based cafes are expanding internationally, hoping to spread their love for coffee across the globe. Even in Singapore, we constantly see new Australian coffeehouses opening up, with the latest being Puzzle Coffee.

Recently opened in Ion Orchard, this artisanal coffee house is bringing a taste of Melbourne to the island with its fragrant and sustainably produced coffee beans. These are roasted in Melbourne weekly and delivered fresh to Singapore.

The coffee selection in the Singapore outpost is simple, offering classic cups like espresso, flat white and ristretto, made from its signature espresso blend. The blend features beans from Colombia Popayan, Peru Bosques Verdes, and Brazil. Have a sip and revel in robust flavours of chocolate and macadamia. Matcha lovers would appreciate the dirty matcha, a signature that marries earthy matcha flavours with rich coffee notes.

Since sustainability is at the heart of the brand, the coffeehouse serves up drinks in compostable and biodegradable paper cups, as well as edible ones.

Opt for an edible cup, available at an additional cost, and get to savour your coffee in a fully-edible oat and grain cup. These sturdy cups are filled with fibre and can hold your drinks for up to an hour before getting soggy. It also makes for a quick snack after you finish your drink.
