Welcome to Foodie Finds! This is an article series by Tatler, chronicling where and what to order according to the food-obsessed.

I myself have never understood non-foodies. How can one not love flavours, spices, aromas and all the cultural nuances and memories that come with every bite? Dining is an experience meant to be savoured and is even more fun when shared with loved ones. Dining around a table means sharing, conversing, bonding and learning. A dish can tell you so much about a person, a culture, and a country. It speaks volumes of a nation's history and is an art form on its own. Skilled hands are trained over years or are born out of pure passion and practice. Professional chefs and home cooks alike, from young stars to grandmothers, have been cooking up meals filled with emotion and have truly made us foodies, happy.

Through Foodie Finds, we ask our epicurean friends to share their favourites. In this feature, we tackle takeout and delivery. Hear what Raul Forés, sous chef and co-owner of Made Nice, has to say as he shares his go-to shops for takeout.

1. A Home Kewk

 @ahomekewk

I've only been able to order once and it was for the veggie burger. Her menu changes sometimes, but it's important to remember that the food drops are on Saturdays. This is one of the few, but growing number of brands that promote plant-based food. I really am looking forward to what comes next from A Home Kewk! I think right now tropical veggie smash burgers are on the menu. I highly recommend this brand to anyone struggling to get their veggies to be a bigger part of their diet

2. Byrdtubs

@byrdtubs

This is a super exciting brand by Angelo Comsti and Jorge Mendez. It's all good, so whether you go for the Hainanese chicken, the mapo tofu, or the chicken inasal . . . try it, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Their site opens on Wednesday for the following week's Tuesday and Thursday deliveries.

3. Hatched

@hatched.mnl

Another exciting brand from the team behind @byrdtubs. To order hatched, you will have to hop on the Byrdtubs link on their Instagram or check the link in bio on the Hatched Instagram. If you are looking for an egg-citing sandwich, this is the place for you. From smoked bacon to house-made Pinoy-style chorizo and the breakfast sausage patty, so far everything on their menu is yummy, down to the crumbs. Keep in mind, @hatched.mnl is only available Saturday and Sunday for now, but stay tuned to their socials for updates!

4. Baba's Kitchen

@babaskitchen

A lovely new brand that makes easy-to-cook food. It's basically all done, so you really just need to finish it up at home. I have had the Wagyu tapa, chorizo hubad, and breakfast sausage, and they are all so yummy! Be it early in the morning for breakfast or late in the evening after a spirited night with your friends, Baba's got something you can whip up in two shakes. Be sure to check out their socials for their growing selection.

5. Crosta Pizzeria

@crostapizzeria

If you do not already know about this brand, you probably know someone who does. This is definitely one of my favourite spots to get my pizza fix. They have a big selection and a solid variety in their lineup at Crosta. Open from 11am to 6pm (but closed on Tuesdays) they cover all types of pizzas and have a convenient website where you can order from. If you are looking for a square pizza, they've got it. Round pies? They've got it too. Vegan? Yup, it's there. Be sure to check their socials for updates on their new locations. I certainly cannot wait!
