Welcome to Foodie Finds! This is an article series by Tatler, chronicling where and what to order according to the food-obsessed

I myself have never understood non-foodies. How can one not love flavours, spices, aromas and all the cultural nuances and memories that come with every bite? Dining is an experience meant to be savoured and is even more fun when shared with loved ones. Dining around a table means sharing, conversing, bonding and learning.

A dish can tell you so much about a person, a culture, and a country. It speaks volumes of a nation's history and is an art form on its own. Skilled hands are trained over years or are born out of pure passion and practice. Professional chefs and home cooks alike, from young stars to grandmothers, have been cooking up meals filled with emotion and have truly made us foodies, happy.

Through Foodie Finds, we ask our epicurean friends to share their favourites. In this feature, we tackle takeout and delivery. Hear what fashion designer, artist, and co-owner of Lotus Gin Room, Rosenthal Tee, has to say. Take a look at some of her go-to shops for takeout.

1. Pantry and Bodega

@pantryandbodega

I’m able to quickly order any charcuterie and wines I might need without the need to step out thanks to Pantry and Bodega! I super love this online store because they’re so quick to respond and have a good selection which is great for any last-minute gift needs. I always get things for myself just to feel like there's a weekend occasion, or to simulate drinks out at my friends' homes!

2. Sea To City Ph

@sea2cityph

I super love oysters. I became a loyal buyer as soon as I discovered Sea 2 City! They only get the freshest Aklan oysters. Their rendition of oyster sisig is so good to pair with dry martinis too.

3. Caviar Cake Manila

@caviarcakemanila

My most recent discovery! I found them after a few failed attempts to find a suitable cake contribution for my brother on his birthday! I chanced upon their shop by following other friends' recommendations on quality caviar cakes and they definitely do not disappoint. The owner also goes the extra mile in making sure that it's presented really well.

4. Edible Box Co

@edibleboxco

They are the most reliable - I swear! I already am such a big charcuterie and wine binger, so I love giving them out as presents. Whenever I need to send gifts out, my immediate go-to is Edible Box because I know that they will always prepare the best deli eats, and present it in such a special way that will make the recipient feel like I really went the extra mile for them. One key thing I learned in the pandemic is that no matter how much some people “have it all”, the simplest action of sending over some good eats goes a long way!

5. Ricksha Streetside Tandoor

@rickshastreerside

I may have been born Indian in a past life because I love everything spicy and saucy! I love having takeaway from this little independent Indian restaurant because it reminds me of the food I would always have as a fashion student in London, a city where there were just loads and loads of Indian restaurants to choose from! My favourite is the butter chicken, which I ask to be made extra spicy. Oh, and I love the biryani rice!
