Read on to know more about Joe Salud and Bianca Romero-Salas' wedding at Pearl Farm, Davao

Their love story began in London during their junior year of college and developed into a deep, meaningful relationship meant to end in romance. And it did. Joe Salud proposed to Bianca Romero-Salas on her birthday one beautiful night at Las Casas de Acuzar. He even organised the whole trip with their friends, inviting the family too to surprise his soon-to-be fiancée.

“It took us a total of 18 months to plan [the wedding],” shared Bianca. With the help of their wedding planner, Amanda Tirol, their dream event shaped up to be just as they had dreamt it to be.

Like the proposal, the wedding celebration also took place out of town, at the Pearl Farm in Davao, a location that means something to the bride.

“Pearl Farm holds a very special and sentimental memory in my heart, as 15 years ago, my father married my step-mum on this same island. A few years later, he died from cancer so when Joe and I were looking at venues, Pearl Farm came up and Joe, without knowing anything about my dad’s wedding, said the place was beautiful. I told him that’s actually where he married my step-mum. He looked at me and said, ‘One day, we’re going to get married there.’ It was as simple as that for us to look for a venue,” she shared.

The destination beach wedding was a multi-day celebration with beach cocktails at Mandaya beach the night before the big day, and an al fresco wedding by the ocean on Malipano island, followed by a dinner filled with emotional speeches from their nearest and dearest. Family and friends gathered excitedly, all the while surrounded by understated, elegant tablescapes and décor with flowers taken care of by event stylist Dion Balofiños.

The bride looked effortlessly beautiful as she wore two different dresses: one by Floravere with shoes by Loeffler Randall for the ceremony, and an outfit by Liz Martinez.

From the big picture to the small details, both Joe and Bianca were hands on.

“Joe was very particular about certain aspects of the wedding like food, drinks and music. I was more into the design and aesthetics of how everything would come out and the smaller details of the wedding as well as the experience of our guests. We were lucky that both of us were invested in the planning process, which made it a lot more seamless,” Bianca says. “It was everything we imagined and more.”
