To celebrate La Mer's new Treatment Lotion, Tatler and the luxury beauty brand hosted an immersive wellness experience with a sound bath at The Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur
On March 29, 15 women from the Tatler community were treated to an afternoon of rest and relaxation with the help of La Mer's most iconic products, from the beloved Crème de La Mer to the new and improved Treatment Lotion.
From the moment they stepped foot into Tatler House, they entered the world of La Mer. Tatler's exclusive event space at The Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur was transformed into a green paradise accented white roses and hydrangeas, which surrounded our guests, including Vivian Quah, Azura Rahman, Diane Chia, Izmirya Putri, and Juliana Natasha, with soothing and calming energy.

Embracing the rare opportunity to take a break from their busy schedules and leave their stress and worries at the door, they made themselves comfortable as they waited for the afternoon of pampering to start, perusing the intricate displays of La Mer's signature products and mingling over glasses of refreshing kombucha.

To kick off the event, La Mer skin expert and educator Rebeccah Ong prepared a special presentation to share the secret behind the beauty brand's success: Miracle Broth. Developed by its founder Dr Max Huber over 12 years, it is the cell-renewing elixir that harnesses the power of fermented sea kelp, among many other pure ingredients. It is at the heart of La Mer's skincare range, including its hero Crème de La Mer moisturiser.
Ong shares that La Mer's recently re-launched Treatment Lotion comes with a more potent formula infused with even more Miracle Broth than before to better address persistent skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles and dull complexion, while nourishing the skin and protecting the skin barrier. As she explained the youth-renewing properties of this next-generation formula made from 91 per cent natural origin ingredients, the guests were able to try for themselves the cooling, silky texture of the Treatment Lotion.

There was also an interactive demonstration on how to optimise the effects of La Mer's skincare range, especially the new Treatment Lotion. To keep the skin hydrated all day, Ong recommends the Treatment Lotion, followed by a featherlight layer of Hydrating Infused Emulsion before sealing in all the benefits with the Crème de La Mer.
Divulging her top tip for extra radiant skin, Ong reveals that a combination of La Mer's Renewal Oil and Hydrating Illuminator can be applied on the cheek bones or the whole face—even over make-up—for a glowing dewy finish.
To create a fully immersive experience, the guests were then invited to get up close and personal with the new Treatment Lotion and the full range of La Mer's luxury skincare products to discover its nourishing effects firsthand. They were guided by a team of La Mer skin experts, who provided additional information on how to incorporate the products into daily beauty routines, such as calming massage techniques.

After the rejuvenation of the skin, it was time to rejuvenate the soul. To end the afternoon, a relaxing sound bath session was prepared by sound healer and co-founder of Alchemie Boutique Lou Eu. With the lights dimmed and the comforting sound of the rain tapping against the windows, Tatler House became a wellness studio and our guests were encouraged to meditate and focus on the calming music of Eu's metal singing bowls, crystal bowls and gong.
