When and where? November 24 at the McLaren Hong Kong showroom

Who? Roman Chao, Antonia Da Cruz, Sean da Cruz, Wil Fang, Sandy Ip, Lindsay Jang, Alex Jiaravanont, Kevin Poon, Edwin Pun

Here’s what you missed: Conversation steered to the McLaren 720S Spider and GT over an intimate lunch cohosted by Sean Fitzpatrick, Tatler’s regional managing director for dining and events, and Max Sutera Sardo, country director of McLaren for Hong Kong and Macau, and catered by chef and fellow Tatler community member Esther Sham of Maison Es. Antonia da Cruz arrived fresh from a hypnotherapy training course, a new and growing passion for her, while Lindsay Jang sat down to lunch before setting off for a photoshoot at the Upper House. Kevin Poon was seen eyeing a miniature McLaren model for son Cali.

Following the lunch, guests had the opportunity to take the award-winning McLaren 720S Spider and GT for a spin through the winding roads of the city’s Southside district, giving them the chance to be fully immersed in the McLaren experience. The afternoon also included a leather workshop where guests had the opportunity to create a personalised, embossed cardholder. In between courses, guests viewed an exclusive premiere of the video produced in partnership with McLaren and Tatler starring Edwin Pun, who was also in attendance. Guests were also treated to a special reveal of the McLaren Elva. The car—on loan from a collector—is one of 149 worldwide and one of just two in Hong Kong.
