Hong Kong-based health-tech company Prenetics launches its latest campaign for Circle HealthPod, starring Mirror’s Ian Chan
Ian Chan, who is known for his role as the lead vocalist of Hong Kong boy band Mirror, has been unveiled as the new face of Prenetics’ latest campaign for Circle HealthPod—a rapid detection system for Covid-19 testing at home. Along with the announcement, the health-tech company also released two images and a video commercial featuring Ian singing an uplifting song It’s a Brand New Day to promote the product and healthier communities.
For the unacquainted, Circle HealthPod is one of the world’s most advanced home detection systems co-launched by Danny Yeung—CEO of biotech company Prenetics and Tatler’s Impact List honouree; and Adrian Cheng, fellow Impact List honouree and Culture List honouree, who’s also known as the force behind New World Development.
Developed at the University of Oxford, the pocket-sized device is designed to offer fast, reliable and PCR-quality results for Covid-19, promising a 98.4% level of accuracy in detecting the disease, including 99.9% of known virus strains such as the Delta variant. The HealthPod involves the use of a pain-free short nasal swab to collect samples, which takes around only 20 minutes to deliver results directly to the device or to the user’s mobile.
