A look back at the series of exclusive gatherings with Tatler GMT’s community of watch enthusiasts

We kicked things off with a bang for the official launch of Tatler GMT a month ago, on August 15. About 100 of our partners, watch enthusiasts and Tatler community turned up at 1-Atico in Ion Orchard to celebrate the momentous occasion as we introduced our new content and community platform dedicated to watch enthusiasts and collectors in Asia. With Tatler GMT, the aim is to curate compelling content, host exclusive events, and offer unparalleled experiences that showcase the best and brightest in the world of watches.

At the cocktail party organised together with Ion Orchard, we held a panel discussion with three of Singapore’s most esteemed watch collectors: Dominic Liew, a passionate supporter of independent watchmakers; Stephanie Soh, the co-founder of watch appreciation platform Tick Tock Belles; and Tom Chng, the founder of Singapore Watch Club. The conversation centred on what makes watch collectors tick, looking at the growth, change and trends within the horological world, the passion that drives watch collectors and what the future looks like for the industry.

In case you missed it: Introducing: Tatler GMT, an exclusive community to connect watch enthusiasts and inspire passion

After Tatler GMT’s successful debut came a series of exclusive events held with six luxury watch and jewellery brands at their boutiques in Ion Orchard. From styling workshops with Cartier and Bulgari to the hands-on exploration of watches with Omega and Hublot and glamorous evenings with Chaumet and Graff, these intimate gatherings allowed for a deeper appreciation of the brands’ exquisite collections and creations. At the same time, they helped to bring our community of watch enthusiasts closer together over cocktails and conversation.

As this momentous month-long programme of Tatler GMT events comes to a close, rest assured that this is only the beginning. The team is already hard at work planning and creating more exciting initiatives and experiences for our community, through the Tatler Watch Club. So, watch this space!
