Above Guests examining the Omega Seamaster Summer Blue collection, up close and personal
As Tatler Singapore’s editor-in-chief, I had the great pleasure of opening the event. I then introduced Jose De Cardoso, Swatch Group’s local country manager and brand manager Omega, who welcomed everyone to the boutique. The evening’s highlight was the showcase of Omega's new Summer Blue Seamaster collection. Guests loved the chance to touch, feel and try on the new timepieces, while also flaunting their own Omega watches, some dating back to the 1950s.
The Summer Blue Seamaster Collection is an ode to Omega’s rich maritime legacy. It salutes the Seamaster family with an exquisite range of 11 watches across 7 models, each one resonating with the ethereal hue of a sunlit ocean, which the brand has called Summer Blue. The collection traverses a spectrum, from the elegance of Aqua Terra, reminiscent of the sun-drenched surface, to the enigmatic Ultra Deep that channels the abyssal depths of the ocean.
A tantalising glimpse into the Seamaster’s storied past reveals a lineage that began with the Omega “Marine” in 1932, setting the foundation for advancements in underwater design. Today, Omega's water-resistant watches undergo real underwater testing, a testament to their commitment to quality and innovation.
As the night came to a close, it was evident that this was not just another event; it was an experience that brought collectors closer together through shared passions, from watchmaking to intermittent fasting and start-up businesses and many other topics that enthralled our guests.
