To celebrate the partnership, Panerai has created a special edition watch made of recycled steel
Panerai has inked a partnership with Razer to support the Conservation International, an environmental non-profit that does important research on marine species. The latter’s work leads to the development of sustainable livelihood opportunities for coastal communities, supported by the creation of new protected areas and policy changes that protect marine life and its ocean environment.

Earlier this year, Panerai launched the Panerai Ocean Conservation Initiative in partnership with IOC-Unesco within the framework of UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. Through this initiative, which involves a global educational campaign among 100 universities, Panerai is leading the way in how a luxury brand can be a force for good for the planet.
The brands recognise their mutual focus on measures to heal the environment and joined forces to promote ocean literacy and conservation. To mark this partnership, Panerai has created the Luminor Quaranta Razer Special Edition PAM01353, a unique timepiece built with sustainable materials.
Limited to 500 pieces and exclusive to its boutiques and on panerai.com, the robust Luminor aesthetics are shaped by a case of eSteel, a recycled steel that retains the resilience of its conventional counterpart. Its DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating lends it a matte black finish. The strap is recycled PET derived from discarded plastic bottles and it comes in a packaging that is made up of 72 per cent recycled material.
