The moon phase appears for the first time ever in Panerai's flagship model

An elegant version of the Luminor, Panerai’s flagship model with the distinctive crown guard, the Luminor Due has always kept it simple with only a time-reading function. Until now.

Designed to be versatile enough to go from day to night, is there any wonder that when the time came to incorporate its first complication, the feminine Luminor Due would choose a moon phase? The loveliest of all complications, the moon phase displays the different phases of the moon over the duration of a month (or 29 and a half days).

Positioned at 3 o’clock, directly opposite the small seconds counter at 9 o’clock, the moon is crafted out of 24k gold and set against a midnight blue sky decorated with stars.

The Luminor Due Luna, measuring 38mm in size, is available in four versions. First is the Luminor Due Luna Goldtech (PAM01181) with a mother-of-pearl dial living inside a case of the proprietary Goldtech, an alloy containing platinum and a high concentration of copper that gives it that luscious red tone. The watch is paired with a blue alligator strap.

Two options with white sun-brushed dials are also available, one with a pink alligator strap (PAM01180) while the other features a steel bracelet (PAM01301) whose links are accentuated by alternating polished and brushed finishes. Polished edges along the curved links lend the latter added dimension and refinement.

Last, but not least, is the steel Luminor Due Luna with sun-brushed blue dial (PAM01179) with a blue alligator strap.
