There were an exhibition chronicling Longines' remarkable history and a dinner held among the clouds
The Saint-Imier manufacture recently brought its 190th anniversary celebration to Kuala Lumpur, starting with an exhibition chronicling its long history in creating watches that embody elegance, tradition and performance. Held outside the entrance of The Starhill, the exhibition also highlighted the brand's long-running association with the world of sports, in particular equestrian.

The celebration continued with a gourmet dinner at The Exchange 57 @ TRX high above the city skyline. Longines' CEO Matthias Breschan was in town to personally welcome guests that include celebrities Alvin Chong, Fu Ying & Sam, and Zahirah Macwilson, all of whom are also friends of the brand. Three Master Collection watches created to celebrate the anniversary were also presented at the dinner.
In his speech, Breschan said: "For the last 190 years, Longines’ craftsmanship has raised the brand to the ranks of the great watchmakers and we are proud to have established a strong presence in Malaysia." At the dinner, Breschan was joined by his Swatch Group colleagues Patrick Auon, regional brand manager (Middle East); Martin Issing, country manager of Swatch Group Malaysia; and Ooi Say Yew, general manager of Longines in Malaysia.
