Here’s a look at H Moser & Cie’s rare collection of watches

La Casa Del Habano Philippines welcomed watch collectors and aficionados last July 6 to celebrate independent Swiss watchmaker H Moser & Cie’s prestigious line of timepieces. Over cigars, cocktails, and wine, guests excitedly viewed the Streamliner, Pioneer, Endeavour, and Heritage lines. Only 3,500 units are produced yearly, making for an exceptionally rare collector’s item.

Currently, H Moser & Cie is not actually directly available in the Philippines. If you want to add to your collection, you’ll have to visit their boutique in Hong Kong. “For now, we have no plans on bringing H Moser & Cie to the Philippine market. We’re simply here to introduce ourselves to Filipino watch enthusiasts,” shares Edouard Meylan, CEO of H Moser & Cie.

Founded in 1828 by Heinrich Moser, H Moser & Cie is widely regarded for its high-quality craftsmanship and exclusivity. While not as known as other top-of-the-line Swiss watch brands such as Rolex or Omega, it holds a strong reputation among enthusiasts and collectors. “H Moser & Cie [watches] are for the people who know [the brand]. If they can recognise us, they’re willing to visit the Hong Kong boutique to get a Moser watch,” says Michael Hung, brand director of H Moser & Cie.

Streamliner

Minimalistic and contemporary, the Streamliner collection boasts an integrated steel bracelet and a sleek dial in a variety of colours. Combined with water resistance to up to 120 metres, the Streamliner exhibits versatility, ergonomics, and polish in its design.

Pioneer

For a sportier look, the Pioneer is the adventurer’s best friend. Whether you’re hiking uncharted trails or diving the deep blue, this timepiece is the epitome of resilience. It features a classy yet robust case, scratch-proof sapphire crystal, and water resistance of up to 120 metres. Along with its Super-LumiNova elements, this watch is undoubtedly an all-rounder.

Endeavour

A dress watch for the elegant, the Endeavour is simple but far from unremarkable. Each watch from this collection has a distinct dial, allowing you to choose what suits you best. From a QR code engraving that allows you to authenticate watch ownership to Vantablack displays and a Chinese Calendar-inspired dial, you can express yourself while exuding sophistication.

Heritage

A marriage of past and present, the Heritage collection revisits H Moser & Cie’s beginnings in the 1820s. With a case reminiscent of old-time pocket watches and a decluttered dial, it emphasises simplicity without removing any sense of refinement. A true homage to the brand’s luxurious history and heritage, collectors are sure to be happy with a timepiece that adds modern flair to a classic.
