Some of you got it right—Swatch’s surprise collab with Audemars Piguet has been revealed to be a collection of colourful pocket watches
After days of AI-generated speculations, Swatch finally revealed what all the fuss is about. The Royal Pop, its surprise collaboration with Audemars Piguet, is a collection of eight vibrant pocket watches in Bioceramic, based on the iconic octagonal shape of the Royal Oak, The dial features the petite tapisserie motif, a signature of the Royal Oak.
It comes with a high-quality calfskin lanyard with contrasting stitching, freeing it up to be worn as you choose: on the wrist, around your neck, in your pocket, attached to your bag. Plus, it can be turned into a desk clock, thanks to a stand.

“Why this collaboration? For the joy and boldness it represents. Because audacity is often the starting point of innovation and new ideas. And because it invites a broader audience, including the younger generations to experience mechanical watchmaking differently,” said Ilaria Resta, CEO of Audemars Piguet.
The heartbeat is something special, too. Swatch has re-engineered the SISTEM51 into a manual-winding fitted with the anti-magnetic Nivachron balance spring, which Swatch developed with Audemars Piguet years ago. The movement boasts 90 hours of power reserve, indicated on the patented barrel drum.

The Royal Pop comes in two versions: Lépine-style with the winding crown at 12 o’clock and Savonnette-style with the crown at 3 o’clock. The former is a two-hand model, while the latter features a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock.
The Royal Pop, priced at RM1,720 | SG$535 for the Lépine-style version and RM1,840 | SG$570 for the Savonette-style, will be available from May 16, 2026, at selected Swatch boutiques.
