BrilliantC utilises American Gem Society Laboratories’ (AGS) patented ray tracing test, to analyse how light actually travels within each BrilliantC diamond. This process enables the diamond’s light performance to be precisely measured, three-dimensionally. 

Each BrilliantC diamond scores an AGS Ideal 0000—first-class grades in the four criteria of Cut Grade, Light Performance, Polish and Symmetry—a novel measure not yet widely adopted by the jewellery industry, reserved for truly exceptional diamonds. Less than 0.1 per cent of world’s diamonds meet this mark of excellence.

In the field of diamond grading, AGS is the leading pioneer of the most technologically advanced, and accurate cut grade measure, being the founder of the original ideal cut grade. Where most laboratories have only five cut grades (from Poor to Excellent), AGS has 11 specific grades from 10 to 0, distinguishing clearly and accurately what other laboratories cannot pinpoint in a wide range of Excellent cut grades. No diamond is legitimately an ideal cut unless it is graded an AGS Ideal 0 diamond.
