Inspired by the season’s awakening, Van Cleef & Arpels once again weaves a delicate narrative of blooms and miniature creatures. Each design is rendered with finesse in rose gold, mother-of-pearl and gemstones, evoking the elegance of a radiant spring garden.

Since its founding, Van Cleef & Arpels has cultivated a deep affection for the natural world, translating the graceful curves of leaves, petals and plants into poetic expressions of jewellery. This enduring muse is evident across the Maison’s most beloved collections: from the four-leaf clovers of Alhambra, the sun-kissed florals of Frivole, to the Butterfly’s vibrant flutter.

First unveiled in 2021, Lucky Spring is a continuation of this spirit, now touched with the freshness of spring in full bloom. The collection brings together cherished emblems: plum blossoms—delicate flowers that defy the cold, symbolising rebirth and quiet strength; ladybirds—long associated with good fortune; and the soft promise of lily of the valley buds.

Soft curves and warm tones—rose gold, white mother-of-pearl, carnelian and onyx—form a miniature garden, where nature’s charm is celebrated in exquisite harmony.

Petals, ladybirds: Symbols of lucky jewellery

More than a tribute to nature, each creation in the Lucky Spring collection reflects Van Cleef & Arpels’ savoir-faire. Every element, no matter how fine, is crafted with unwavering precision, ensuring that each piece not only enchants the eye but delights to the touch.

From gemstone selection to cutting, setting and final polish, the process is entirely artisanal. White mother-of-pearl is chosen for its luminous purity, echoing the softness of plum blossom petals; vibrant red carnelian, paired with glossy black onyx, forms the iconic ladybird’s domed wings. Delicate golden beadwork frames each motif, like dew on morning petals.

Lucky Spring Pendant—Lucky charm
Among the collection’s most charming designs, the ladybird pendant is a talisman of joy and prosperity. Crafted in rose gold with accents of carnelian and onyx, the piece is a study in contrast—refined yet spirited, like a dainty ladybird poised on the skin.

On one side, a lily bud in rose gold and white mother-of-pearl; on the other, a tiny ladybird unfurls its wings, appearing to brush against the bloom—a fleeting moment of springtime captured in gold.

Lucky Spring bracelet – When nature embraces the wrist
The Lucky Spring bracelet gracefully unites plum blossoms, ladybirds and lily of the valley buds along a fluid rose gold chain. Soft white mother-of-pearl blooms, delicately placed among the dainty ladybirds, form a charming springtime tableau that encircles the wrist with gentle allure.

Lucky Spring: Collection recreating the spring garden

Alongside its refined craftsmanship, Lucky Spring bears a distinctive artistic flourish, thanks to a creative collaboration with Alexandre Benjamin Navet—a French designer whose journey with Van Cleef & Arpels began in 2020.

Navet’s joyful illustrations brought the Maison’s gardens to life in vivid colour, and his artistic sensibility helped shape the poetic soul of each jewel. His spontaneous brushwork and lively hues inspired Van Cleef & Arpels to craft Lucky Spring as a vibrant tale. More than a collection, it is an invitation to wander through nature’s tender beauty, where blossoming branches and tiny ladybirds whisper of good fortune.
