“My style has evolved so much. I like trying everything I see, whatever inspires me at that moment—a movie I recently watched, a celebrity on Instagram wearing a fit, an influencer carrying a bag,” Uy enthuses. “I do have essentials that will forever hang in my closet. I just add pieces or edit them out so the look changes depending on my mood or whatever is apt for the occasion.” As her dazzling career takes her to a myriad of fittings and shoots, the seasoned stylist delights in how inspiration can spark from anywhere.

As such, the mirthful holidays come as a time to explore her boundless tastes and step out in the most spectacular ensembles. “It’s the best season for modern disco and cutout maxi dresses!” Uy shares, adorning her glamorous looks with golden pearls from Jewelmer. “Unlike before, pearls are now gender-neutral and universally worn by cool kids—the likes of Harry Styles & Justin Bieber. I love how it’s an accessory you can just throw on and it finishes a look without even trying.”

Sustainably farmed and cultured locally before they are crafted to perfection by artisan jewellers, Jewelmer’s South Sea pearls effortlessly add an alluring character and elegance to any outfit, thus making them the quintessential gem for a season that is marked by both intimate and extravagant revelries. No stranger to sparkle, striking hues, and even more audacious combinations, Uy further muses how such priceless finery can be worn in unique, new ways.

Taking on the Y2K craze that’s taken the fashion world by storm, she details how this could mean “breaking the softness” of pearls by pairing them with an all-black leather ensemble for the night or with low-rise cargos, sneakers, and an oversized jacket for the daytime. “I always like to incorporate trends,” Uy adds. “I love trying it all out and styling it in my own way.”

Both iconic however distinct in their own craft, Uy's wide influence and Jewelmer's lasting heirlooms are unequivocally aligned as standards of modern sophistication.

As times further change and the fashion industry becomes more diverse and self-expressive than ever, these two remind us that some classic pieces are truly eternal and can always be added as a final touch to any look. The style virtuoso lastly imparts her one tip to anyone who might still be figuring their style out: “Experiment! Fashion is so fun. In this day and age, there are no rules. If it doesn’t work, try another, and then another, until you find your own.”
