The Spring/Summer 2022 Seoul Fashion Week will take place from October 7–15 and consist of 37 fashion shows

Seoul Fashion Week spring/summer 2022 will go digital this year from October 7–15, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government. It is set to take place at the National Palace, one of Seoul’s historical landmarks as well as other locations that represent the city’s cultural heritage.

Kai, a member of the K-pop group, EXO has been chosen as the face and ambassador of this season’s show. He will engage in promotional content while wearing BMUET(TE) outfit, one of the local brands and global ambassadors presenting at the show.

With the theme of presenting Seoul’s past, present and future, there will be a runway stage that showcases the past traditions, present and future of the city through a fashion film. It will be shot in famous locations that showcase Seoul’s history, culture and landscape and where traditions and modernity meet.

This season’s Seoul Fashion Week will consist of 37 fashion shows over the course of seven days and notable artists are expected to host the opening and finale. The Seoul Collection will be presented by 26 renowned designers at the National Palace alongside other locations that deeply represent Seoul’s cultural heritage.

Meanwhile, the Generation Next collection will be presented by 11 rising designers at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, a location widely regarded as a designer’s gateway to success.

In addition to the designers, there will also be artists performing during fashion week. The lineup includes DPR Live, Heize and OBSG, all of whom are armed with creative elements that will showcase Seoul’s past, present and future.

The runway clips of Seoul Fashion Week SS2022 will be released starting from October 7 at the official website of Seoul Fashion Week and other platforms including YouTube, Naver TV, Vlive and TikTok. A detailed schedule will be uploaded on the official website alongside short video clips, backstage clips and more.
