Nike will drop three new Air Max 1 colourways for women—Premium, Blueprint, and La Ville Lumière—each exclusive to different regions. The Air Max 1 "Premium" will be available at 10am tomorrow on the Nike SNKRS app and in selected stores around Asia. Inspired by wabi-sabi, a Japanese concept that finds beauty and value in imperfect or worn objects, the new design features rich, earthy tones of yellow, greens and brown on a classic white mesh base. There are faux-cracks of metallic gold on the midsole, in reference to the art of kintsugi, a pottery practice where broken objects are mended with gold-dusted lacquer.

With elements of reimagined Americana, this design delivers a positive message and encourages its wearers to celebrate the different cultures and influences around them. And nobody encapsulates this concept more than global superstars from Southeast Asia, Yuna and Milli, whose help Nike enlisted to tease the new designs. "I believe that we are all meant to be the person we are today—unique and courageous! We gotta go out there and embrace our imperfections and shape our own path," wrote Yuna.
