In November 2020, three Malaysian friends—Aisha Hassan, Alia Farouk and Kylie Francis—founded Dia Guild, a curated platform to elevate the work of artisans, craftsmen and designers from Southeast Asia. Today, it represents more than 20 brands and is a thriving digital space for collectors and enthusiasts in the region to discover the best that the region can offer.

Among the best-selling brands under its portfolio is Neil Felipp, founded by an up-and-coming Filipino designer of the same name.

Felipp is known for his exquisite minaudières, which pay tribute to his heritage and hometown in Cebu, the Philippines. His designs—crafted from precious shells and mother-of-pearl, featuring gold and silver metalwork handcrafted by artisans and handpainted details—have been spotted on Gemma Chan in hit rom com, Crazy Rich Asians, and more recently, on global pop star Doja Cat at New York Fashion Week to see the spring/summer 2023 collections.

The latter styled her red Suzy Wong minaudière featuring an intricate gold-plated dragon sculpture as a bold pop of colour against her pale blue dress and avant-garde make-up.
