The Formula 1 star is the first man to become a Valentino DiVa, joining Zendaya and Son Ye Jin

Hot off the races of the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton is joining Valentino as its newest ambassador.

The Formula 1 star, known as much for his style as his sports performance, will be joining the Italian fashion brand as its first male DiVa ambassador, which Valentino describes as someone with “the contemporary need to identify, to belong yet feet different, to risk and to feel strength.”

Hamilton shares the honour with Euphoria star Zendaya and South Korean actress Son Ye Jin, who are both part of Valentino’s DiVa campaign.

The seven-time Formula 1 World Champion fronts a campaign for the Valentino Pink PP collection for Fall/Winter 2022.

The collection, defined by its use of a vivid pink hue developed by Valentino designer Pierpaolo Piccioli and Pantone, has been making waves on the red carpet (even one as recent as the Cannes Film Festival and the Met Gala). Celebrities including Dua Lipa, Anne Hathaway, Aishwarya Rai, Gemma Chan and Nicola Peltz have all been spotted in the striking outfits.

Hamilton was also on the front row of the Valentino Pink PP fashion show back in March, where he sat next to Zendaya and, as he shared on Instagram, jokingly “asked her if I could be on season 3” of Euphoria.
