Fans have been anticipating this announcement after the BTS member’s recent appearance at Louis Vuitton’s fall/winter 2023 menswear show at Paris Fashion Week

It's been an exciting few weeks for Louis Vuitton. After pulling off a successful collaboration with KidSuper during Paris Fashion Week and appointing Pharrell Williams as its latest men's creative director and successor to Virgil Abloh, the French luxury brand announces South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter and producer J-Hope as its latest global brand ambassador, recognising his impact as part of K-pop group BTS and solo artist after releasing his first solo album, Jack in the Box, to rave reviews in 2022.

This is not the first time J-Hope will be working with the brand. In 2021, all seven members of BTS—RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, V, Jung Kook, and J-Hope—were signed as Louis Vuitton brand ambassadors, famously repping custom suits in coordinating colours at the 64th Grammy Awards in 2022. Their contract ended in early 2023, shortly after BTS announced a hiatus to focus on their solo careers and prepare for their upcoming mandatory military services in South Korea. It opened up a free-for-all as fashion houses scrambled to tap the star power of individual members.

For J-Hope, weeks of speculation come to an end with this news. They predicted that it was just a matter of time after the K-pop multi-hyphenate made an appearance at Louis Vuitton's fall/winter 2023 menswear show during Paris Fashion Week.

J-Hope joins Jackson Wang, who was also appointed as a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador in January 2023.
