The Italian fashion brand’s series of global events is well underway, and it starts in the heart of the floating city
A busy stream of gondolas and Renaissance palaces, a web of canals glistening under the golden afternoon sun—only a handful of cities are as dream-like as Venice. It is a perfect destination to kick off an initiative for global dreamers. This is why Italian luxury fashion brand Golden Goose cannot choose a better location than the floating city to launch ‘HAUS of Dreamers’, a series of international events meant to unleash creativity through vital global destinations.
It is an offshoot of the brand's newly minted phygital platform, ‘HAUS’. An embodiment of the Golden Goose DNA, HAUS is a global cultural platform that serves as a new home to a community of dreamers of multiple disciplines, identities, and backgrounds. It will lay its roots in Marghera, the industrial port of Venice, Italy, which will house an academy, a manovia, an archive, a library, an auditorium and a world-class exhibit area.

Tatler Philippines editor-in-chief Anton San Diego, TV host Mond Gutierrez, actress Julia Baretto and journalist Ria Prieto were among the notable guests invited to the event. “It was our first trip together, so it was a tremendous bonding experience amidst the backdrop of the otherworldly city that’s Venice,” says San Diego. “It’s a short trip reacquainting ourselves with this magical city! The first stop was the Golden Goose store, where we loved all the ultra-cool shoes and clothes.”

The main event of the Venice leg of the HAUS of Dreamers was held on May 22. The brand tapped five world-class artists, including Fabio Novembre, Quannah Chasinghorse, Dr Woo, SUNMI, and Suki Waterhouse. These artists offered performances across different fields of art, all of which featured their interpretations of Venetian iconography.
San Diego recalls, “The Golden Goose event was at the Venice Venice Hotel, where several immersive acts happened through the space.”
Italian Architect and Designer Fabio Novembre kicked off the evening, where guests pulsed through an immersive tunnel at the iconic Venice Pescheria. Native American advocate and model Quannah Chasinghorse recited a poem at the Rialto bridge. Dr Woo, the most in-demand tattooist based in LA, showcased a room full of plates he designed. Meanwhile, actress Suki Waterhouse took Polaroid photos of all the guests.
Dinner was at a long mirrored table filled with beautiful potted roses. Then attendees proceeded to a courtyard where South Korean singer Sunmi performed. Last was a nightcap at a room converted into a bar/dance hall. “All in all, the event, like the city of Venice, had magic and surprises all around,” San Diego says.
