Find larger-than-life art, media, and technology in the new Art in Island: The Media Square
Sometime in 2019, the internet was abuzz with photos and blog entries about the Van Gogh Alive exhibit at One Bonifacio High Street. It was the cool place to be at the time as it featured some of the painter's best works—The Starry Night (1889), Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers (1888), and Bedroom in Arles (1888), you name it.
What made the whole thing extra special was how these artworks were presented: imagine tiptoeing in a place that uses a "unique system that combines multi-channel motion graphics, cinema-quality surround sound and up to forty high-definition projectors."

Today in Cubao stands a museum that shares quite a resemblance with this concept. Art in Island: The Media Square, a popular spot among locals for its massive and interactive murals, partnered with renowned artists and digital experts in South Korea to bring the largest Mixed Media Museum in the Philippines.
"Art in Island transforms as The Media Square, the largest Mixed Media Museum in the Philippines that brings art, media and technology together in collaboration with renowned artists and famous technicians from South Korea to create a transcendental, immersive experience," the museum said in an Instagram post.
"We've returned at last. Thank you for waiting," it added.

Art in Island: The Media Square welcomes guests from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30am to 9.30pm. Tickets are sold for PHP 850 for adults, but discounted rates are given to students for PHP 700 (junior high school to college students) and PHP 600 (for kindergarten and grade school students).
Senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) can also avail of tickets for PHP 600, while children under three feet can come in for free.
