The Happier Than Ever singer takes a trip to Haji Lane—in Paris Hilton’s favourite snow boots
When it comes to fashion, Billie Eilish is not one to follow the rules. The Gen Z superstar has ditched dresses for baggy shirts and shorts on the red carpet, and you’d sooner find her wearing all-over prints and loud colours than an ensemble that’s easy on the eyes.
Eilish once again demonstrated her disregard for style conventions when she made a stop in Singapore as part of her Happier Than Ever world tour. Via an Instagram post, the Bad Guy singer showed off the edgy, all-black outfit that she wore on a visit to the colourful Haji Lane. Her choice of footwear when taking to the streets of our tropical city? Snow boots, of course.
We’re not just talking any winter gear here. Eilish opted for a pair of black Moon Boots, the chunky ski shoes that are now back in style thanks to fashion’s noughties nostalgia.

The padded footwear, which were inspired by the Space Age shoes worn by astronauts during the Apollo 11 moon landing, were a favourite of Paris Hilton’s in the 2000s. Two decades later, the cult style has found fans in celebrities such as Dua Lipa and Kendall Jenner, while iterations have appeared on the runway courtesy of luxury fashion brands like Chanel and Miu Miu.

Unlike other ugly shoe trends like Crocs and Birkenstocks, Moon Boots haven’t quite taken off in Singapore—and understandably so, considering that the winter shoes weren’t made for our humid home.
Still, that clearly hasn’t stopped Eilish from hitting the streets in them. Outlandish shoes aside, the singer kept the rest of her look relatively low-key, pairing her black tank top with a lace slip skirt and a cap that obscured her face.
She may have toned things down for her off-duty outfit, but it was business as usual when Eilish took to the stage at the National Stadium on Sunday night. She sported her go-to concert ensemble of a graphic, oversized tee with matching bike shorts, as well as a pair of Nike Air Force 1 High PSNY sneakers—a similar silhouette to her daytime Moon Boots.

Her outfit, which was created by Los Angeles fashion label Farewell Division, featured a punk-inspired collage of skull motifs, as well as images of rockstar Joan Jett and Robert Smith from the goth rock band, The Cure.
Fans looking to steal the singer’s look can do so: Farewell Division is offering the Skull Fracture Tour shirt in extremely limited quantities for US$250 each. The more daring dressers, however, can always shop for a pair of Eilish’s Moon Boots for less on Farfetch.
