Perhaps one of Eilish's most iconic performances to date: a gravity-defying song number on SNL. In the video, Eilish can be seen literally walking on walls. Fans were stupefied on how she did it until actor Justin Theroux posted a video that showed a moving set with a mounted camera. Though it was an optical illusion, we still have to applaud Eilish for performing so well on what was undoubtedly a dizzying stage.

It's a sad fact that's Billie Eilish herself has acknowledged: women in the entertainment industry are often met with the male gaze. As a minor, Eilish once revealed that one of the reasons she wears baggy clothes is because it deters the unwanted sexualisation of her body. It's completely unfair that Eilish had seemed to tailor her fashion choices to avoid comments, but as she's grown up, she's also learned to deal with body issues in a healthy way. In a late 2019 interview with Gayle King, Eilish revealed that her baggy clothes are now less about making other people feel comfortable, but about her own comfort and cultivating a healthy relationship with her body. 

Last year, in 2020, Eilish also spoke up about the need to "normalise real bodies" and why it's unfair for people to body-shame when more often than not, the way a body looks is out of a person's control. The 19-year-old singer has also said that as she's grown older, she's becoming more and more comfortable in showing her body "as a woman", which is a wonderful and empowering thing to hear her speak upon. 

Billie Eilish took on the puffer jacket challenge two years ago in a promotional video for Urban Outfitters. In it, someone had asked her: how many puffer jackets can you wear at one time? Eilish, who was able to don five simultaneously, revealed a quirky tidbit that she'd once tried on forty pairs of underwear as a child—and couldn't get it off! It was an adorable moment watching the then-18-year-old just have fun with it, making faces, dancing around, even zipping her last puffer all the way up to cover her face. 

We're all so used to seeing Billie Eilish dye her hair unconventional colours—from the lightest of blues to the most striking of greens—that when she first debuted her music video, "xanny", and appeared in it sporting chestnut brown tresses, everyone was surprised. It even made headlines in major fashion outlets around the globe! Interestingly enough, Eilish was also the director for the said music video—her first time doing so!

Now, Eilish can be seen sporting another conventional hair colour: platinum blonde—and yes, that's just as newsworthy as her brunette locks!

Yup, you read that right. Eilish, who's a loyal advocate of mental health, had defended singer Charlie Puth after songwriter, Benny Blanco, started bullying him on Tiktok. Blanco had made numerous videos putting Puth down before Puth finally spoke out. After which, Billie jumped in to defend Puth by asking Blanco: "What do you do all day, Benny? The same thing. Literally, the same thing."

What is perhaps the most popular music festival in the United States, Coachella, has chosen Billie Eilish to perform in the 2022 lineup. She is headlining the second day of the festival (on April 16 and 23) alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Masego, and Giveon.
