Asia’s Most Influential: Style 2021—Meet The Most Stylish Individuals In The Region
Every individual on our Asia’s Most Influential: Style list is a trendsetter in their own right. Here is Tatler’s directory of people who stand out for their unique style and impeccable taste.
Style is an expression of a personality, a point of view, and an imagination. It’s as unique as a thumbprint. The word “stylish”, however, means something different to everyone. To some, it conjures up an image of a man decked out in sneakers and slouchy sportswear, while others might think of a woman in a sleek gown and flawless diamonds.
The individuals featured on this year’s Asia’s Most Influential: Style list are as varied as they come—newcomers and veterans, maximalists and minimalists, uniform lovers and fashion chameleons. One thing they all share is an undeniable mix of confidence, sophistication and flair.
Leading the pack is Wesley Ng, co-founder and CEO of Casetify, who graces the cover of Tatler Hong Kong this month. The 40-year-old has taken an almost Steve Jobs-like approach to dressing by wearing Thom Browne suits six days a week. Joining him are 14 other style setters—from the queen of Canto-pop Sammi Cheng to sneaker collector Ryan Sun.

On the cover of Tatler Malaysia’s October issue is model, influencer, and body acceptance advocate Nalisa Amin. She is not one to shy away from any point within the fashion spectrum, and as an advocate of body positivity and acceptance, she encourages women all over to do the same no matter their size. Joining her are other honourees including fashion influencer Fyza Kadir, singer-songwriter Yuna (pictured) as well as power couple Nur Fazurah and Fattah Amin.

Fashion designer Vania Romoff graces the October issue of Tatler Philippines and is one of the 13 most stylish individuals in the country. Romoff has built a loyal following—both clients and social media followers—because of her authentic, stylish portrayal of a woman who puts family first without relinquishing her own power and identity. Celebrities such as Nadine Lustre and Liza Soberano (pictured) also feature on the Asia's Most Influential: Style list, as well as photographer BJ Pascual.

Socialite Shazreh Rahman fronts Tatler Singapore’s October issue, and joins nine other stylish individuals to make up the country's Asia’s Most Influential: Style list. Rahman has an unimpeachable taste in fashion, accessories, art, and interiors, as well as enjoys a friendly relationship with designer Manish Malhorta, arguably the Karl Lagerfeld of India. The list also features multi-hyphenate Savina Chow and football player Ilhan Fandi (pictured), a hypebeast unafraid of colour and bold choices.

The Asia’s Most Influential: Style issue of Taiwan features two cover personalities: actor and model Kang Ren Wu and TV show host and actress Pauline Lan. Kang Ren Wu, also known as Chris Wu, is known for seamlessly transforming into any role he’s given. On the style front, he encourages everyone to “embrace your own uniqueness”. Lan, on the other hand, is known for her bold choices—occasionally clashing patterns and donning maximalist accessories. Six other honourees, including model Gia Tang (pictured), join them to make up Taiwan’s list.
Singer, actress and TV host Bunga Citra Lestari is on the cover of Tatler Indonesia. Known to many simply as BCL, Citra Lestari’s style can’t be pinned down to one single descriptor. “Style is fluid, and so am I. Life also keeps on changing, and so do our feelings and responses to it,” she says. Joining her are 19 other stylish individuals including singer and entrepreneur Agnez Mo as well as actor, director and producer Jeremy Thomas (pictured).
