Experience the couple's blissful nuptials through the eyes of their closest friends and family
22.2.22—a palindromic date or an "angel" number that signifies connections, the energy of duality, partnership, relationship and balance—a rare occurrence to only happen once in our lifetime. It was on this day that model Shikin Gomez and entrepreneur Rami Aladdin whisked their nearest and dearest to the beautiful island of Langkawi to witness their romantic wedding at the serene Temple Tree Resort, following their New Year's Day nikah ceremony.
The wedding reception was attended by guests who had travelled from Kuala Lumpur and abroad, dressed in white, to celebrate the stunning couple. They were given disposable cameras to capture their favourite moments. Tatler gets an exclusive look at the intimate ceremony through these beautiful photos.

"We took inspiration from our ethnicities, traditions, friends and our love for all things minimalist,” said Gomez about the vision for the special day. “There were challenges leading up to the day. I lost my father weeks after getting engaged so there was a lot of balancing of work, wedding planning and funeral arrangements. The past few months have felt like it was a lifetime. It was tedious and we are never doing this again, but I loved every bit of it.”
The wedding decor itself was painted in shades of white and neutral tones set against a traditional setting of carefully-curated traditional homes transported from various states in Malaysia. The custom floating plexiglass aisle that ran through the main pool at the Temple Tree Resort was designed after a runway—a nod to the bride’s profession.
