It wasn’t a phase: the couple brought their dark and edgy style to their four-day wedding in Portofino, Italy

For better or worse, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have become synonymous with the gothic aesthetic, and the pair cemented their status as the dark prince and princess of fashion at their extravagant wedding in Portofino, Italy, over the weekend.

Corsets, leather, lace and even the colour black figured into the bride’s wardrobe, which was designed by Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana. From Kardashian’s sultry red slip to her lingerie-inspired wedding dress, see all the dramatic bridal looks that graced the celebrations.

The Red Dress

For an intimate family dinner at Ristorante Puny, Kardashian turned the temperature up with a sheer, bodycon dress in blood red, contrasting the leopard-print and black dresses worn by her sisters Kim, Khloe, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner. A furry stole added a dose of Old Hollywood glamour to Kourtney’s ensemble, and her lace-up sandals, adorned with flowers, captured the sense of Italian romance that pervaded the celebrations.

The Corset LBD

The bride’s “something blue” was seen in her ensemble on the second day, when the Kardashian clan took a yacht to dine at the Abbey of San Fruttuoso along the Italian Riviera. She flaunted her figure with a black minidress featuring corset boning details and an embroidery of the Virgin Mary in a blue veil. Kardashian herself was covered in one, which was crafted from black tulle with a blue lace trim that was anything but traditional.

The Mini Wedding Dress

Bringing the boudoir to bridal fashion, Kardashian walked the aisle in a white corseted mini dress inspired Italian lingerie from the ‘60s. The thigh-high bustier dress, crafted from lace and satin, was paired with sheer white gloves and a sweeping floral tulle veil. The latter was embroidered with the words “Family Loyalty Respect” and decorated with floral lace appliqués that resemble the flowers found in the gardens in Portofino. Kardashian’s veil also featured yet another depiction of the Virgin Mary, this time inspired by a tattoo that her husband Travis Barker has.

Special Mention: The Guests

The Dolce & Gabbana dress code was not lost on the wedding guests, who celebrated in looks that exuded Italian glamour and gothic romance. Kendall Jenner mirrored her sister’s dinner ensemble with a black dress featuring a sheer skirt, which she accessorised with a striking red cross choker. Kylie Jenner was dressed for the Italian summer in a floral, figure-hugging frock and a basket bag, matching the mood of her daughter Stormi’s white smocked dress. Even Kim Kardashian traded her signature latex and stepped out covered in lace, going for an-all black look just like her daughter North. See the most memorable outfits below.
