The reality TV star of 2000s pop culture has finally tied the knot with Carter Reum, her beau of two years, and her much-anticipated wedding was no less than spectacular, to say the least

Who would’ve thought that the day would come for one of reality TV’s most iconic stars of the 2000s to finally get hitched, and in a fairy-tale wedding no less? To all you Y2K pop culture fans out there, we know you’ve been secretly anticipating the day when the OG queen of rhinestones, low-rise denim jeans, Von Dutch trucker caps and Louis Vuitton mini bags would finally walk down the aisle in true Paris Hilton style.

As one of the biggest celebrations this year, Paris Hilton’s dazzling wedding extravaganza was no less than epic with the bride’s multiple outfit changes, dogs in suits, cliff-height heels and themed segments throughout the wedding, which was also documented in her new reality docuseries Paris in Love that is available on streaming platform Peacock.

Star-studded wedding guestlist

In the docuseries, we see Hilton, the self-proclaimed “Wifey for Lifey”, getting ready to marry her boyfriend of two years, American venture capitalist Carter Milliken Reum, in a lavish and maximalist ceremony in Beverly Hills, at her late grandfather Barron’s Bel-Air estate.

As expected from the princess of luxury and excess, the wedding list comprised of a stream of A-listers to sit in the audience for the day, including actress Emma Roberts, aunt and reality TV star Kyle Richards, singer Paula Abdul, longtime friend (and former personal assistant cum stylist) Kim Kardashian West and of course, her original partner-in-crime Nicole Richie.

The wedding guests were treated to a huge marquee and extravagant pink floral displays at the estate, some of which even included the bride and groom’s initials.

The proposal was also televised in the docuseries, where Reum proposed to the heiress in true Hilton fashion on a private island in February this year when they were on a holiday planned as part of Hilton’s 40th birthday celebrations.

The show details the evolution and progress of Reum and Hilton’s relationship and highlights both the proposal, the shopping for a wedding dress and the wedding itself at the end of it.

What the bride wore

The star’s wedding dress was also an ethereal masterpiece and a sight for all to behold when she took to Instagram to post a first glimpse of her wedding dress hours after the official ceremony last Friday.

The bride famously wore Oscar De La Renta, whereby the picture boasts a high-necked, long-sleeved lace gown that rightfully accentuated Hilton's slender frame. The heiress is shown to have paired the gown with a simple tulle veil and diamond earrings. Beaming of pure elegance and sleekness, she wore her hair up, with one huge coiffed fringe tendril sweeping down on the side of her face.

In the Peacock docuseries, we see Hilton trying on potential gowns, with one of the dresses in the line-up appearing to be the winning option.

One of the clips of the series shows the star trying on a custom-fitted wedding dress that eventually takes the cake for the bride after trying about ten dresses altogether.

A fashionista in her own right, she made sure to incorporate a bevy of other stunning gowns and dresses into her wedding, such as an off-the-shoulder Ghalia Lav ballgown topped off with a sparkling crown for the couple’s first dance, a long crystal-covered style with a cape by Pamella Roland and a short dress that is also by Oscar de la Renta.

Wild carnival-themed afterparty

Don’t expect anything less from the princess of partying because her three-day wedding spectacle also incorporates a series of carnivals, clubbing and black tie ball celebrations.

After the official wedding ceremony ended, guests were invited to attend a carnival at Los Angeles’ Santa Monica pier on day two. Following that, the celebrations continued in the form of a black tie ball the next day.

Caroline D’Amore, who was a cast member on The Hills and a guest at the reception, recently revealed on the Pizza Girl talkshoplive show that Paris required guests to engage in multiple outfit changes that aligned with different aspects of the wedding’s events. During the Santa Monica carnival, she was expected to don a “mandatory neon outfit, head to toe”.
