Singapore may be a little red dot, but the country is filled with a myriad of wedding venues that will daunt any bride- and groom-to-be. While most couples opt for a banquet in a hotel ballroom, the sheer number of hotels—that continue to increase—will leave you in a quandary to find the perfect place for your big day.

But worry not: consider this your cheat sheet to finding your perfect banquet venue, because we've rounded up some of the best hotel ballrooms in Singapore below.

1. Jubilee Ballroom, Raffles Hotel Singapore

When Raffles Singapore re-opened its doors earlier this month, they also unveiled a new wedding venue—the Jubilee Ballroom, previously the Jubilee Hall theatre. The revamp perfectly preserves the legacy of the historic space, with finely curated motifs inspired by the storied Victorian theatre.

Stunning chandeliers and signature gold Venetian light fixtures against a coffered ceiling add to the colonial splendour of this ballroom, which can accommodate over 300 guests. There is also an air-conditioned foyer to host your guests for cocktails before the wedding.

2. The Grand Ballroom, The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore

The Grand Ballroom at The Ritz-Carlton is no stranger to lavish weddings—or in the case of socialite Rachel Wee who wedded in January this year, Crazy Rich Asian weddings.

Boasting more than 10,000 square feet in the pillar-less space, the venue is exceptionally versatile, as we have seen from Rachel’s mermaid wedding, and her sister Cheryl Wee’s fairytale-themed wedding in 2017. The ballroom is outfitted with three panoramic LED video walls that support live streaming and display. A ceiling-mounted pan-tilt zoom camera offers the option to capture your big day from 360-degrees.

3. Caroline’s Mansion, The St. Regis Singapore

St. Regis’ glamorous space, which boasts its own entryway, is modelled after the mansion of American socialite Caroline Astor, who is the mother of St. Regis founder John Jacob Astor IV.

Though much more intimate than the hotel’s John Jacob Ballroom, the 4,000 sqft venue—which comprises a ballroom, pre-event area and a double-height foyer—certainly does not lose out in grandeur. Guests will find themselves transported to Manhattan in the Gilded Age as they enter through the carved mahogany doors, and there’s no better way to make your entrance than gliding down the grand staircase in your wedding dress.

4. Grand Ballroom, JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach

Here’s a wedding venue that will definitely leave an impression. Housed in a standalone 1930s heritage building, JW Marriott’s Grand Ballroom boasts the largest LED wall amongst the hotel ballrooms in Singapore at 15-metre wide and 10-metre high. A dazzling Forest of Lights installation—created from 11,520 lights—hangs down from the ceiling.

The space, which is over 8,000 sqft, also features a mezzanine on the second level, and a pre-function foyer in the basement, making the venue ideal for all your wedding festivities—from cocktails to the after-party.

5. Grand Ballroom, Capella Singapore

Offering an escape from the city, Capella in Sentosa Island oozes with colonial charm. The hotel’s Grand Ballroom is the first and only circular ballroom in Singapore with a glass-dome skylight. Its centrepiece is a glass sculpture by San Francisco-based artist Nikolas Weinstein, which enchantingly illuminates the space through 10,000 clear glass tubes. An 81 square-metre LED wall—one of Singapore’s largest—sets the scene for any theme.

Intimate but stately, the ballroom also boasts a pre-event foyer that can accommodate up to 500 guests. No wonder it’s such a favourite for Tatlers' annual balls.

6. John Jacob Ballroom, The St. Regis Singapore

Adorned with hand-cut crystal chandeliers and a spectacular high ceiling with skylights, the John Jacob ballroom of The St. Regis Singapore makes for a magnificent wedding space for discerning couples. Named after the founder of The St. Regis New York, the pillar-less grand ballroom can accommodate up to 400 guests in a sit-down setting and 600 guests in a theatre setting. There is also the option to sub-divide the space into two separate venues with an ‘air wall’. In fact, the John Jacob ballroom also provides for an almost soundproof set-up that is suited for extravagant celebratory events or large-scale conferences.
