In time for high tea at The Peninsula Manila’s resplendent conservatory, elegant refreshments were served in tiers of pastries, flutes of bubbly, and exclusive whirls of Ultherapy®, the gold standard in non-invasive skin lifting treatments. With Merz Aesthetics® as gracious hosts, it was a splendid afternoon to honour sparkling successes and prolific partnerships with The Aivee Clinic, the recent awardee of five remarkable titles in this year’s much-awaited Tala Awards.

“Together with The Aivee Clinic, we both fuel confidence by helping Filipinos look better, feel better, and live better. So this is truly an occasion to celebrate,” shared Merz Aesthetics® Philippines General Manager Jorge Libanan in his toast to the esteemed aesthetic centre’s founders. As he detailed the clinic’s one five-star award and four seven-star awards, including the prestigious 7-Star Overall Award for the fiscal year of 2021 to 2022, he also highlighted how Dr Aivee and Dr Z Teo were among the first to try out Ultherapy® in the late aughts before going on to pioneer its provision across the Philippines in 2009. Libanan mused, “This ‘Ultherapy® Day’ is a very small way for us to thank Dr Aivee and Dr Z for their continued belief and trust in our technology and for being a key partner in reaching more than two million patients worldwide.”

Recounting their early beginnings, Dr Aivee enthused how Ultherapy® has been a lasting and trusted staple in their clinics, continually sought-after by active jet-setters, career men and women, and busy stars among many others. “I think this award is so significant for us because it may be something that we don’t consciously think about but it is given to us because we are consistent with our work and in delivering the best for our patients and that they trust us.”
Dr Z affirmed that the longevity of such success is what makes them especially proud. “A lot of times, maintaining standards is a lot harder to do than just achieving one award. So for us, this is a testament to our hard work and how we train our teammates, our colleagues, and our staff.”

Today, their efforts have certainly contributed to making Ultherapy® such a household name, most notably crediting its popularity to the quick procedure, reliable results and zero downtime it assures avid clientele. “One of the pivotal things that we [at The Aivee Clinic] did was we were able to change the misconception that Ultherapy® is really painful. That was the initial challenge; people were stopping themselves from doing it because they were scared,” Dr Z told Tatler.
