The brand’s latest Swiss caviar incarnation, this caviar-derived retinol is composed of caviar lipids—vitamin D and triglycerides comprising omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids—and retinol, and is obtained through a specially-designed extraction process, done at room temperature, to capture and retain the potency of these delicate caviar molecules.

A first for the Swiss house, La Prairie commissioned French digital artist, Mathieu Le Sourd, better known as Maotik, to create an interactive and multisensorial experience as an ode to the iconic cobalt blue shade of the new Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil and Skin Caviar skincare collection.

Titled Sense of Blue, this immersive installation of The Cobalt Night is set in three stages, and captures a progressive journey to discover what the night holds through the use of light, sound and digital interactions. Through the use of algorithms and technology, Maotik leads the audience down a magical path where the night unfurls from early night, which is serene and captivating, to the deepest night where creativity is set free and the senses are liberated, triggering one’s curiosity, surprise, contemplation and imagination. The work will also be presented in a public space during Art Basel in Switzerland, from September 22 to 26 this year.

The culminating step in your pampering Skin Caviar night-time ritual, applied after the Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion, Liquid Lift and the Eye Ritual, the Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil will seal in moisture and the active ingredients, strengthening the skin’s barrier, leaving it supple and plump when you wake. It is available at La Prairie counters at Takashimaya D S, Tangs at Tangs Plaza, Metro Paragon and One Assembly Raffles City, from August 16.

When the new minimalist-themed La Prairie Boutique (#B1-15A) at Ion Orchard raises its shutters from August 20 onwards, it will also be stocked with the new formulation. Customers can make appointments for luxurious facials at its two cabins in-store too.
