The Aivee Clinic has once again partnered with Vanguard Aesthetics to bring in the newest “prejuvenation” essential for fuss-free summer escapades

With Manila’s heat index reaching the higher 40s this month, we’re all on the lookout for ways to stay cool for the rest of the summer. That said, keeping skin fresh, glowing, and hydrated is equally vital all season long, and as always the Aivee Clinic is way ahead of us. With much fanfare at the Grand Hyatt’s Garden Pavillion last week, renowned dermatologists Drs Aivee and Z Teo welcomed friends and media to celebrate its timely, new treatment: Aivee Revive.

Guests, outfitted in bright pops of teal and white, had plenty to enjoy around the venue that Thursday afternoon. They snapped photos at themed backdrops, grabbed summer staples like sunglasses, fans, and tumblers from various booths, and stopped by the refreshing gelato stall for a sweet treat before dinnertime. As the sun set, everyone moved into the pavilion for the much-awaited programme, where radiant host and Aivee Leaguer Janeena Chan kicked things off by introducing us to “prejuvenation”.

To tell us more about this newly emerging trend in skin science, Chan was joined onstage by the power couple behind the Aivee Clinic, who have likewise made the world’s latest, most sought-after aesthetic treatments and innovations accessible in the Philippines for nearly 15 years now. “First of all, it’s really important to take care of ourselves before ageing starts,” shared Dr Aivee. “And that's what we are advocating. It's not just treating when the problem is there, but actually preventing it.”

A question frequently posed to the doctors is: when is the ideal time to start doing treatments? On the subject, Dr Z remarked, “Prejuvenation means you do it before things happen!” He recommends starting in your twenties to early thirties, as this is when the skin’s elasticity and collagen production begin to decline. This is also where the new Aivee Revive treatment comes in—it’s the market’s latest skin-boosting procedure that essentially acts as an injectable moisturiser, with zero downtime.

Borne from their staunch partnership with Vanguard Aesthetics, Belotero® Revive is a first-of-its-kind dermal filler that combines a special ingredient known as glycerol with cross-linked hyaluronic acid for deeper hydration and an instantly visible glow, far beyond the reach of any topical skincare. Glycerol also boasts anti-inflammatory properties, which can reduce swelling and bruising at the injection site, making the recovery process much smoother and worry-free.

Speaking more about the product, Dr Z said, “This is the only one that managed to put into a syringe, [glycerol] together with hyaluronic acid. And when we place it in, it reduces the inflammation in the skin and hydrates the skin cells—so you get this Revive Glow. It’s pretty amazing.”

Among those who have done it, and were gracious enough to share their experience at the recent event, were guests Grace Baja, Mimiyuuuh, Marie Lozano, and Kylie Versoza. Bearing testament to that “Revive Glow”, they also mused about how the treatment works wonders for minimising pores and fine lines after just one procedure.
