Tatler Malaysia’s Sustainability Weekend 2024 is back for a transformative two-day journey into the heart of sustainability, featuring pioneering discussions, eco-friendly innovation, and hands-on workshops
The Tatler Malaysia Sustainability Weekend returns for its exciting third edition, promising an even larger and more impactful experience. In partnership with The Exchange TRX and Enrich by Malaysia Airlines, this two-day affair will bring together key players from the realms of fashion, beauty, food, lifestyle, and sustainability thought leaders at a single venue to present innovative and eco-friendly products and solutions, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Set to take place at The Exchange TRX, this event will feature a diverse lineup of over 30 brands under the theme “Sustainable Future: A Journey towards Greener Living”. Open to all, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops, talks, and engaging activities designed to educate on sustainability and inspire positive environmental action.

Panel discussions
In a collaborative effort with Think City, the weekend will be enriched with a series of panel discussions aimed at tackling pressing topics such as climate change, green financing, and the broader aspects of sustainability. These discussions aim to motivate collective action and contribute significantly to a more sustainable future.
On April 27, the first day will commence with three panel talks starting at 3pm. The inaugural session, “Climate Commitments: Assessing Progress, Charting Paths, and Collaborating for a Sustainable Future,” will explore the current status, challenges, and collaborative efforts in climate change mitigation. Following, the “Green Capital: Navigating the Landscape of Sustainable Finance for a Greener Future” panel will examine how finance intersects with sustainability, highlighting initiatives and strategies for environmental stewardship and climate change mitigation. The day will conclude with “Roots of Resilience: Cultivating Community Through Urban Gardens,” a discussion on the multifaceted benefits of urban farming.
The agenda for April 28 begins at 3pm, featuring a talk on “Climate Innovation: Harnessing Nature and Technology to Combat Climate Change.” This session will delve into the role of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS), climate analytics, and AI in fortifying the resilience of urban and community settings. This will be followed by “The Future of Cities: Sustainable Urban Regeneration,” focusing on the critical importance of sustainable urban development for future ecological, social, and economic prosperity.

Apart from the exciting panel discussion, Tatler Sustainability Weekend 2024 will spotlight over 30 vendors across the beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and food sectors, all dedicated to sustainable practices. These vendors will not only display their products but also offer exclusive promotions for the event attendees. One of our partners, Enrich’s booth will be showcasing sustainable products such as Kapten Batik blouses, clutch bags from PenanLab, and Bamboo Towers.

Workshops

Above Day 2, April 28 programme
The weekend also boasts a variety of workshops aimed at practical sustainability skills. MAEKO will lead a composting workshop, teaching participants about home food waste management. KLOTH Circularity will offer an upcycling workshop, transforming t-shirts into woven coasters. Babylon Vertical Farms will conduct a vegan cupcake decorating workshop, utilising edible flowers and colourful vegan icing. Finally, Claire Organics will introduce participants to the world of aromatherapy, allowing them to create their own essential oil blends.
