Tatler Ball 2022 raised over RM300k for charity with your help

The funds raised from Tatler Malaysia's black-tie event last year will support three deserving charities to empower underprivileged children and youths

Last year, Tatler Malaysia kicked off its annual Christmas fundraising initiative, which saw its biggest round of contributions yet at Tatler Ball 2022 when it first opened through to December 25, 2022. Thanks to the generous contributions of donors and partners throughout the Christmas season, we raised a total of RM307,125 for charity—almost double of what was raised the previous year at Tatler Ball 2021.

The funds have gone entirely to three amazing charitable organisations—Make A Wish Malaysia, Yayasan Chow Kit, and Orphancare Foundation—all organisations dedicated to empowering and uplifting children from underprivileged communities across Malaysia.

Each organisation received a total of RM102,405 to continue their inspiring social works, whether it be bringing life-changing wish experiences to critically ill children, finding homes for abandoned babies or providing therapy, meals and education programmes for kids and at-risk youths.

The Melium Group helped kick off this Christmas fundraising initiative by donating RM10,000 in upfront cash to Tatler Malaysia’s GiveAsia crowdfunding page, the first of many contributions made in December that altogether reached an amount of RM193,315. The proceeds from the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi, Malaysia Airlines and Qing Gallery silent auctions at Tatler Ball 2022 amounted to a whopping RM113,900.
