In November 2024, Malaysian-born, London-based fashion designer Han Chong introduced Self-Portrait’s first residency collection, a partnership with renowned Scottish designer Christopher Kane. The newly launched residency provides a unique opportunity for creatives as it gives them free rein to create one-off collections. In his own words, the creative director describes it as “the future of genuine partnership, where creatives support and uplift each other rather than seeing each other as rivals”. In December, the founder made a splash at the Fashion Awards, giving the public a glimpse of Self-Portrait’s residency as well as custom creations, as worn by actress Gemma Chan and top models Joan Smalls, Alessandra Ambrosio and Lara Stone.

With nearly 900 thousand followers on Instagram, actress Khemupsorn Sirisukha is known for her environmental work, having established a reforestation campaign as well as the social enterprise Sirithai. Offering organic rice and handmade products, Sirithai supports farmers who practice sustainable agriculture, while addressing deforestation. Among the recent highlights on the environmental advocate’s feed is a trip to India, where Khemupsorn paid homage to Buddha and was a representative of Thailand in the International Tripitaka 2024.

Yip Pin Xiu, swimmer, Team Singapore, and Paralympian (13K followers)
Over 13,000 followers are witness to the achievements of swimmer Yip Pin Xiu, who holds the world records in the 50m and 100m backstroke S2 events. The legendary athlete is also a seven-time Paralympic gold medallist, having secured Singapore’s first Paralympic gold in the 50m backstroke at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, before triumphing in the 100m and 50m backstroke at both the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Adding two more golds at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, she was welcomed by roaring crowds during her homecoming in Singapore.

Best known for winning the first season of The Voice Thailand in 2012 and the fourth season of The Mask Singer in 2018, Nont released his latest digital single Dopamine in August 2024.

Robert Wun was among the outstanding leaders recognised at the recent Tatler Hong Kong Ball, receiving the Impact Award for his contributions to fashion. In 2023, Wun made history as the first designer from Hong Kong to present a collection at Haute Couture Week in Paris. Since then, the talented designer has continued to create avant-garde designs, dressing superstars along the way such as Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and Adele.
