With the involvement of esteemed professors from Harvard Business School alongside senior figures in Vietnam’s business landscape, the ACB Leadership Summit is set to deliver valuable insights while opening networks.
Since its founding in 1636, Harvard has drawn countless students from across the globe, gaining its reputation as a cradle for ambitious entrepreneurs and influential leaders. A March 2025 report by Class Central named Harvard the top American university for producing billionaires—boasting a notable 144.
It’s little wonder, then, that Harvard has come to symbolise aspiration for those with eyes on the business world. Within that, Harvard Business School—an integral part of the institution—remains a popular choice for entrepreneurs seeking to hone their leadership acumen, develop strategic insight, and deepen connections with key players across varied industries.
In Vietnam, gaining access to such knowledge is becoming more feasible, thanks to ACB Bank’s Leadership Summit. The event offers participants the chance to engage in in-depth conversations and explore real-world case studies, under the guidance of Ryan Buell, a distinguished professor from Harvard Business School.
ACB Chairman Tran Hung Huy: From a dedication to lifelong learning to the vision of sharing Harvard’s management expertise with Vietnam
Vietnamese entrepreneurs will soon have the opportunity to meet with prominent Harvard faculty at the second Leadership Summit hosted by ACB Bank. The upcoming edition features Professor Ryan Buell, a standout figure at Harvard Business School. The inaugural summit, held in 2024, welcomed Professor Boris Groysberg and marked the beginning of ACB’s initiative to connect Vietnamese leaders with world-class academic minds.
Tran Hung Huy , Chairman of ACB, shared that in an increasingly complex business environment, the pursuit of knowledge must remain ongoing—even for those at the top. The Leadership Summit, he added, reflects ACB Bank’s forward-looking vision: to create pathways for Vietnamese leaders to gain direct exposure to leading-edge management thinking from Harvard Business School’s finest minds.
After all, the one thing we truly possess is the knowledge we gather through a lifetime of learning.
This year’s summit promises an immersive programme of discussion, practical analysis, and case study exploration—all designed to strengthen leadership capabilities and inspire fresh, progressive thinking among decision-makers.
True to his ethos of continuous self-improvement, Mr Huy is not only advancing this initiative with Harvard but is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO)—a global, non-profit community of more than 35,000 young chief executives spanning over 150 countries. Membership is highly selective, based on rigorous criteria, and the organisation’s mission is rooted in developing visionary leaders through education and idea exchange.

Graduates of Harvard University—and more specifically, Harvard Business School—are often marked by their decisive thinking and ability to deliver economic impact at a global level. Among them are Meg Whitman and Jamie Dimon, whose leadership has shaped the technology and finance sectors worldwide. Alongside its alumni, Harvard Business School is also home to a faculty of remarkable calibre. Two of its most esteemed professors, Ryan W. Buell and Boris Groysberg, will both feature at the ACB Leadership Summit.
Ryan W. Buell: Professor of Business Administration in the Department of Technology and Operations Management at Harvard Business School
In addition to his role as Professor of Business Administration in the Department of Technology and Operations Management at Harvard Business School, Mr Buell also serves as Dean of the Executive Experience Transformation Program. He teaches several core subjects within the MBA curriculum.

Beyond the classroom, Mr Buell’s research explores the dynamic between service businesses and their customers, as well as how operational choices influence customer behaviour and business outcomes. His work has been featured in leading academic journals including Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and the Journal of Service Management, among others.
Boris Groysberg: Professor of Business Administration in the Department of Organisational Behaviour at Harvard Business School
Before embarking on his academic career at Harvard Business School, Mr Groysberg worked at IBM. He currently lectures on leadership and human resource management within the MBA programme.
Alongside his teaching, Mr Groysberg has received considerable recognition for his research into human capital strategy across businesses of all sizes, particularly in the context of achieving sustainable competitive advantage through the attraction and retention of top talent. A regular contributor to the Harvard Business Review, he is known for his incisive commentary and for providing compelling case studies on how businesses can better engage and communicate with high-performing employees.

He is also the author of the acclaimed book Chasing Stars: The Myth of Talent and the Portability of Performance. His latest publication, Glass Half Broken, examines the gender pay gap, presenting both the challenges women face in the workplace and practical, evidence-based strategies that leaders can adopt to remove barriers and foster inclusivity.
It is clear that while Harvard may not be the sole contributor to an individual’s success, its influence on global business figures is undeniably significant. In Vietnam, the ACB Leadership Summit provides a gateway for entrepreneurs to access vital knowledge, while also fostering connections that lay the groundwork for sustainable growth.
