One of our favourite things about our honourees is their drive and desire to learn and grow. Here's a look at what's been happening with some of them over the last week

An emotional move

The team at With Red, the advocacy group founded by Vivi Lin that is spreading awareness and solving the issue of period inequality, spent their first week in their brand new office space. In honour of this, Lin dedicated a post on Instagram to the journey of the organisation, which used to work out of cafes and even a bench in the park.

A Rollout Through Hong Kong

Milanie Bekker and Snooky Wong, the duo behind Madame Quad, organised a group street skate in Hong Kong over the weekend, and it took them from Kennedy Town Belcher Bay to Wan Chai Temporary Promenade.

Royal recognition

Last Friday, Malaysian prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob launched the three-day National Youth Day celebrations. Gen.T honouree Samuel Isaiah, the co-founder of Edufication and programme director at Pemimpin GSL, attended the Hari Belia Negara gala on Sunday, July 17, where his contributions to local education system was recognised.

Seeing his dreams come true

In March 2022, Malaysian Gen.T honouree John Cheng announced on his Instagram that he was pursuing his dream of opening a cafe. In his post, he talked about how challenging it was to open a business. Four months later, See Cafe has finally opened its doors to customers in the trendy township of Mont Kiara in Kuala Lumpur.
