How many restaurants will there be?

Cloud kitchen operator Kraver’s Canteen has sealed a partnership deal with restaurant franchise company Combo Kitchen to exclusively expand former NBA star Dwyane Wade’s D. Wade Burgers concept into the Philippines.

The expansion will start with the opening of 10 restaurants across Greater Metro Manila within this quarter—and eventually 150 locations in total by 2025.

D.Wade Burgers will make slight adjustments to its menu to suit the local palette as well as introduce an exclusive Manila Burger, made using litson baka, a classic local-style roast beef. Its Impossible Burger will also be replaced with Unmeat products from Philippines-based Century Pacific.

Kraver’s Canteen was co-founded by Victor Lim and is the fastest-growing cloud kitchen network in the Philippines. It offers tech solutions and kitchen facilities to delivery-only brands such as Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen.

Earlier this month, it raised US$3 million in Series A funding from lead investor Quest Ventures and others including Foxmont Capital and Oak Drive Ventures.

In April, the company launched itself into the metaverse with the Kra-Verse Food Hall, which allowed users to order food from Kraver’s online brands and interact with each other as avatars.
