Cru Steakhouse
1. Cru Steakhouse

Located at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Chef Meik “The Big Chef” Brammer’s classic American steakhouse goes above and beyond with quality meat cuts and top-notch seafood. Its open kitchen serves as the central element of the restaurant where guests can watch steaks fired to their desired doneness over a flaming grill. Indulge in their four-course set menu which can include a crab cake or grilled scallops, onion soup or sausage gumbo, a whopping 8oz rib-eye, and dessert.
Tatler Tip: While steaks are the star of the show, do leave some room for the restaurant’s many sides (including the signature Cru steak rice) as they’ve got some of the best in town.
Elbert’s Steak Room
2. Elbert’s Steak Room
Chef Adrian Cuenca’s 16-year-old steakhouse may no longer be a secret, but it remains to be the standard for understated, elegant, and discreet dining. The menu is concise and specific, delivering on all the premium steakhouse favourites such as an off-menu beef tartare and only the most coveted cuts of steak like their prime grade tomahawk and double gold filet mignon. A proudly homegrown concept, it is unapologetic about serving only steak, although the lunch menu does have some more casual options like beef stroganoff and duck paella.
Tatler Tip: The dining room benefits from a recent renovation, giving the restaurant a much-needed glow-up. For those who want to keep the party going, owner Elbert Cuenca’s Riedel Room downstairs offers a plush venue for cigars and a nightcap.
La Cabrera
3. La Cabrera

The Argentinian steakhouse remains dedicated to offering the most traditional and authentic parilla experience, as founder Gaston Riviera envisioned it. Diners can choose from a variety of premium steaks, but best to pick an Argentinian cut such as the robust cuadril (culotte) or juicy entraña (skirt steak). While the appetisers are tempting—especially their provoleta (melted cheese skillet) and empanadas—take note that the steaks come with unlimited side dishes as well.
Tatler Tip: Finish strong with desserts like their alfajores and crepes (called panqueque), both of which feature Argentina’s famed dulce de leche.
Mamou Too!

Designed to capture that cosy feeling of home, you’re assured of hearty eats and warm hospitality, no matter the occasion.
Tatler Tip: Consider ordering a dish or two from the Mamou Prime exclusives. The mouthwatering selection includes Ibérico pork chops, pork and chicken adobo rice, and Apple Tart Tano.

Wolfgang’s dark, classic interiors reflect the kind of classy air that comes from their timeless offerings.
