DMark Beauty and Isispharma’s ‘Skin Sanctuary: A Mother’s Summer Edition’ featured the skincare tips and products you need to know to brave the sun
A wave of white, florals and the warmth of summer. Between all the beach trips and iced coffees, the heat hasn’t quite worn off yet, though that bothersome humidity may be the least of your worries. Irritants are everywhere you go, but that doesn’t mean you should hide from the sun. DMark Beauty, in collaboration with Isipharma, hosts ‘Skin Sanctuary: A Mother’s Summer Edition’, featuring the skincare products you need to enjoy the sun without fear.
“This is not just about beauty, but skincare,” DMark Beauty founder and CEO Nikki Tang remarks. “[As well as] collaborating with and educating moms and their little ones.”

“At DMark Beauty, we’ve always believed that beauty and wellness should support every stage of a woman’s life, especially motherhood,” she added. “Through Skin Sanctuary, we wanted to create a space that not only educates but also reminds moms that they deserve the same care, comfort and attention they so freely give to others every single day.”
Also present during the event was Isispharma Dermatologie CEO Grégoire Dewavrin. “Too often, mothers become so focused on caring for everyone else that they forget their own skin health deserves attention too.” He elaborates, “We like to take skin diseases and disorders with a holistic approach. [These] all have a strong impact when it comes to the skin, but it also impacts the quality of life.”

However, to better understand what exactly these skin disorders do and how they can be treated, Dr Wilsie Salas-Walinsundin shared her expert insights on the importance of strengthening the skin barrier.
“Sensitive skin concerns become more common during summer because heat, sweat and increased environmental exposures can weaken the skin’s protective barrier, making it more prone to irritation, dryness and inflammation,” she shared. “If a patient has a skin barrier problem, the sun would activate a lot of receptors on the skin. These receptors will release chemicals, cytokines, which will trigger the feeling of itching.”

Throughout the room were various stalls dedicated to creams and skincare products designed to combat those persistent issues caused and amplified by the heat, including Ruboril and Secalia. Ruboril, for instance, addresses redness and skin irritations such as rosacea, while Secalia combats the ever-present eczema.
DMark Beauty and Isispharma’s Skin Sanctuary was a gathering that was informative of the dangers our skin is exposed to, as well as a reminder of the caring nature of motherhood. These summer days are meant to be enjoyed, all the more with the gentle, compassionate touch.
