Avignon clinic wins Red Diamond Award at the Galderma Diamond Awards

The treatments at the centre of the wins

The Sculptra and Restylane Breakthrough Awards recognise clinics that have demonstrated notable uptake and clinical application of both technologies. At Avignon, the two are used together as part of a broader regenerative approach rather than as standalone procedures.

Sculptra is a biostimulator that uses poly-L-lactic acid to stimulate the body’s own collagen production, working gradually to restore skin structure over time. Dr Ken Guzman describes the appeal: “By stimulating natural collagen production, we’re not just improving appearance—we’re restoring the skin's underlying structure over time.”

Restylane Skinboosters, a hyaluronic acid injectable designed to improve overall skin—including texture, hydration, tone and fine lines—is used alongside Sculptra to round out the clinic’s treatment protocols. “When combined with regenerative treatments like Sculptra, it becomes part of a more holistic strategy—one that prioritises skin health as much as aesthetic outcome,” said Dr Ana Francisco.

Dr Apple Cruz, who oversees much of the clinic’s patient care approach, notes that the focus remains on what the skin needs rather than what is trending. “Our approach has always been centred on understanding the patient beyond the surface—what their skin truly needs, and how we can support it long-term,” she said.

Where the clinic is headed

Three awards in one night is a significant showing for any clinic, and for Avignon, it marks a notable moment in what has been a measured, deliberate expansion. The clinic has positioned itself on science-led protocols and a patient-first philosophy—a combination that appears to be landing with both patients and industry evaluators.
