2025’–Good or Not Very Good is a sonic odyssey through Vietnam. Aboard this fantastical vessel, Dzung leads listeners on an exploration of breathtaking landscapes, age-old festivals, ancestral tales, regional specialties, and the contemporary heartbeat of Vietnamese life. The journey is one of unbridled freedom, passion, and discovery.
Drawing from his travels, Dzung has woven the distinctive sounds of each region into the album—from the rhythmic hum of the SE train spanning North to South, the creak of fishing boats in Phu Quy, and the lilt of wooden vessels in the Western waterways, to the explosive revelry of fireworks over the Nam Rom River, marking the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. These sounds do more than set the scene; they capture the very essence of an era.
