Singapore Airlines unveils the first phase of its lounge refresh, introducing a brighter, expanded First Class space featuring a new signature bar, multisensory design elements and upgraded amenities ahead of a full Terminal 2 lounge overhaul in 2027
Singapore Airlines has reopened its refreshed First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 2, marking the first stage of the national carrier’s wider lounge revamp, with upgrades to the Business Class and KrisFlyer Gold lounges expected in 2027.
Located on the third level near Departure Gate E, the redesigned lounge spans more than 1,050 sqm and seats almost 130 guests. The space now features higher ceilings, expanded floor area and full-length windows that bring in ample natural light, setting a brighter and more open atmosphere than before.
A 20-metre batik wall installation greets guests at the entrance, made up of 97 laser-cut plexiglass flowers with gold accents. At reception, a curved LED screen animates the motif, while the airline’s Batik Flora fragrance and Sound of Singapore Airlines create a distinct, multisensory welcome.

At the centre of the lounge is the new signature bar, which serves barista-made coffee from 6am to 10am before shifting to cocktails from 5.30pm to 1am. Notably, Piper-Heidsieck Rare 2013 is available here for the first time in any SIA lounge. The drinks list highlights local flavours and seasonal ingredients, alongside wellness options such as Como Shambhala’s Root Recovery mocktail.
The main living and dining area is anchored by two custom chandeliers by Lasvit designer Michaela Mertlová, each featuring 128 hand-blown glass components. Seating has been refreshed with wingback chairs embroidered with the batik motif, productivity pods with lighting and charging points, booth seating for small groups, a meeting room with video conferencing and two soundproof phone booths.

A live cooking station complements a buffet similar to that of the Terminal 3 flagship. For its debut month, the lounge features a special menu including XO stir-fried carrot cake, smoked salmon cream cheese bagels, Korean-style citron & chilli glazed chicken, herb-roasted chicken cacciatore, steamed barramundi with ginger-soy dressing and a grilled chicken & cheese sourdough melt.
Four unisex en-suite shower rooms are fitted with Grohe and Toto fixtures, Lalique Neroli amenities and Dyson hairdryers. A wheelchair-accessible shower suite is also provided. For rest, a quiet zone offers four semi-private pods equipped with Poltrona Frau reclining chairs, sliding doors and basic sleep amenities. A playroom and nursing room cater to families.
Open to Suites and First Class travellers, Solitaire PPS Club members and First Class passengers flying Star Alliance, the refreshed lounge underscores Singapore Airlines’ continued investment in its premium ground experience.
