Discover how creative duo Shalma Ainaa and Wan Imar Izzat integrate the locally assembled Porsche Cayenne into their daily lives, from fashion shoots to architectural inspiration
For most, a car is a tool for transport. But for creative powerhouses Shalma Ainaa and Wan Imar Izzat, the locally assembled Porsche Cayenne has become a companion for life’s moments, transforming the daily grind into a series of shared adventures on the road. From the quiet hum of a morning commute to the spontaneous dust of an unplanned detour, this sports SUV has become the catalyst for the couple’s fast-paced lifestyle.

The appeal of the Cayenne is so potent that it has sparked a lighthearted rivalry within the household. Some mornings begin quietly, the duo notes, while others start with a simple question: who gets the Cayenne for the day? It is a playful tug-of-war driven not by necessity, but by a genuine desire to be behind the wheel. Whether Imar heads off before sunrise or Shalma slips out first, the goal is the same—to experience a journey made more comfortable, more capable, and more enjoyable.

As the founder of the fashion label SHALS, Shalma Ainaa requires a vehicle that mirrors her professional agility. “I’m always on the move. From brand shoots to running my lifestyle label, I need a companion that keeps pace—and one that can carry everything from mannequins to fabric rolls. That’s why the Cayenne fits so naturally into my life,” she shares. For Shalma, the Cayenne is the rare SUV that remains refined for daily city driving while possessing the raw power to feel special every time she takes the wheel.
Her husband, architect Wan Imar Izzat, views the vehicle through a lens of structural beauty and heritage. “The design is timeless. I’ve driven many generations of the Cayenne, and it has always performed like a sportscar SUV should,” Imar explains. “As an architect, I appreciate the strong design language of the Cayenne—instantly recognisable as a Porsche, always commanding attention”.

Under the hood, the Malaysian-assembled Cayenne features a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6, delivering a robust 353 PS and 500 Nm of torque. This power is balanced by the Porsche Driver Experience, which utilises a highly digitalised display to optimise safety and comfort.
For those seeking a sharper edge, the Exclusive Manufaktur Package adds a distinctive, sportier presence. This includes a Sport Design front apron, side sill panels, and a roof spoiler partially finished in high-gloss black. A touch of luxury is found in the integrated exit courtesy lights, which project an illuminated PORSCHE logo onto the ground as you step out

The Cayenne truly shines when the pavement ends. Equipped with standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the vehicle constantly adjusts its damping to ensure stability on steep lanes or muddy shortcuts. This capability is bolstered by an elevated standard equipment package featuring Adaptive Cruise Control, soft-close doors, and the Sport Chrono Package.
The journey doesn't end with one model; the lifestyle expands with the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupé. Merging the iconic 911 silhouette with a 130kW electric motor and V6 engine, it produces a total of 519 PS, offering electric serenity alongside superior driving performance.
