The Emira i4’s exterior design is influenced by the hypercar Evija, which combines sculpted surfaces with technical detailing, resulting in an aerodynamically beautiful sports car. Full-LED headlights with signature double ‘blade’ daytime running lights, sculpted doors with deployable handles, and distinctive gloss black vents at the rear all contribute to the car’s striking appearance. Using cutting-edge computational fluid dynamics simulations, the Emira i4 achieves perfectly balanced passive downforce at all speeds, which enhances grip and handling without relying on active aerodynamic features.
Visually, the Emira i4 is nearly identical to the V6-powered variant that arrived earlier and is available on display at Lotus Cars Malaysia’s showroom in Pavilion KL. While both variants appear very similar at first glance, one way to tell them apart is by looking at the engine bay, whereby you’ll notice a more extensive engine cover in the Emira i4.

Under the hood lies a turbocharged 2.0-liter aluminum engine, a powerhouse developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG. This four-cylinder marvel produces an impressive 360 bhp at 6,600 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at 3,000-5,500 rpm. The Emira i4 accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 4.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 290 km/h. This potent powertrain, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), ensures a thrilling driving experience.
The engine’s advanced design includes features such as a closed-deck cylinder block, low-friction cylinder bore coatings, forged steel crankshaft and aluminium pistons, all contributing to its power and efficiency. Variable valve timing, high-precision piezo injectors, and a twin-scroll turbocharger enhance performance and responsiveness.

Drivers will find a luxurious and tech-laden cockpit designed for an immersive driving experience inside the car. A 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system dominate the centre console. The infotainment system includes integrated navigation and Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, designed in-house for simplicity and ease of use.
The premium audio system, developed with KEF, features ten channels and 560W of power, providing an exceptional auditory experience. The 12-way power-adjustable heated seats support spirited driving and are comfortable for long journeys.
